A boutique engineering consultancy-highly respected for its elite bridge design expertise-is conducting a confidential search for a Senior Railroad Bridge Design Engineer. The Role:
We’re looking for a PE-licensed civil/structural engineer with at least 7 years of experience designing railroad bridges, who can independently lead design work and contribute to the development of less-experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead design and detailing of complex railroad bridge components using AREMA standards

Support project managers in identifying and resolving technical and project delivery challenges

Serve as a technical lead on multi-disciplinary teams

Supervise and mentor junior engineers, helping grow internal capability

Manage tasks on multiple concurrent projects with minimal oversight

Engage in occasional site visits and field support activities
-
Contribute to a culture of problem-solving, accountability, and technical excellence
Required Background:
-
Licensed PE (Professional Engineer) in the U.S.

7+ years of relevant experience in railroad bridge design
-
Deep working knowledge of AREMA bridge design standards

Proficient with structural analysis software, CADD tools, and standard engineering applications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead and deliver projects independently
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary will reflect depth of experience – $140,000 – $200,000
