A growing international consultancy is looking for a high-performing, self-motivated Regional Business Development Manager to cover the Asia-Pacific region. This role is based in Australia and offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic growth across the region by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the Life Sciences sector-specifically focused on early-stage product development and regulatory consulting.
🔹 About the Role
As the Regional Business Development Manager, you’ll work closely with internal experts to shape client solutions and generate meaningful commercial relationships. This is a senior-level, individual contributor role where you will:

Lead business development strategy across your territory

Build and maintain C-level relationships with new and existing clients

Identify and qualify leads, deliver proposals, and close consulting contracts

Collaborate with regulatory and scientific teams to scope and deliver client solutions

Maintain accurate records and forecasting through CRM tools
-
Serve as a trusted partner and advocate to clients across the region
🔹 What You Bring

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in business development or consultative sales within Pharma, Biotech, CRO, or CDMO sectors

Strong understanding of early-stage clinical development and regulatory strategy

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering; business or marketing qualifications a plus

Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, develop tailored proposals, and negotiate SOWs

Skilled in building long-term client relationships at senior stakeholder level

Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
-
Comfortable with international travel (support provided; business class for trips over 8 hours)

Must be based in Australia and eligible to work without sponsorship
