We are currently working with a well-established local authority in North Wales, committed to delivering top-tier social care services. Their focus is on safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families to ensure strong, healthy communities.

You’ll work closely with families to provide tailored support, helping safeguard and improve the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families.
  • Develop effective care plans that meet the individual needs of children.
  • Use child protection legislation and best practices in safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate case records and represent children’s interests in court when necessary.
  • Advocate for the well-being of children, ensuring their voices are central to decision-making.

Requirements:

  • BA (Hons) in Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work Wales (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in kinship care, fostering, child protection, or a related area.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills for assessing and planning care.
