Position: Construction Scheduler
Location: Boston, MA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Job Overview:
Our client seeks a detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to join their team. This position is key in developing, analyzing, and maintaining CPM construction schedules, providing schedule updates, and leading schedule-related discussions. Ideal candidates should have expertise in Primavera P6 and experience in managing heavy civil, highway, or rail transit projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze progress data from field staff, submittals, RFIs, PCOs, and DCRs.
- Develop and update CPM schedules, including cost/resource-loaded schedules.
- Perform schedule delay analysis and create recovery plans.
- Prepare lookahead schedules, cash flow projections, and manpower curves.
- Facilitate planning meetings and update schedules based on feedback.
- Create and deliver detailed management reports, including pay applications and time extension requests.
- Support change management processes and incorporate schedule subnets contemporaneously.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on construction scheduling experience using Primavera P6.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of scheduling principles, heavy civil projects, and planning systems.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Certifications like Oracle Primavera P6, PSP, PMI, PE, and OSHA 10 are a plus.
