Head of Product Stewardship – Home-Based
Our client, a leading global player in the specialty chemicals industry, is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Product Stewardship to lead their team in ensuring compliance with ever-evolving regulatory standards. In this role, you will lead a team of 8 highly qualified professionals across Germany and the Netherlands. As a key figure in the organization, you will ensure that all products comply with local and international regulatory frameworks. This includes managing the introduction of new raw materials, advising on special regulatory fields like food contact and cosmetics, and providing strategic input on regulatory compliance in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Product Stewardship team and report directly to the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs.

Manage regulatory requirements for new raw material sources to ensure product compliance with evolving regulations.

Oversee the evaluation and release of new raw materials and suppliers.

Ensure compliance with special regulatory requirements in fields such as food contact and cosmetics.

Monitor and respond to global regulatory customer requests and industry portals.

Manage the creation and dissemination of regulatory documents and confidential information.

Provide strategic advice on regulatory implications for marketing and product publication.

Act as the primary contact for national and international regulatory authorities and industry consortia.

Participate in industry associations and key training programs.
Key Requirements:

Postgraduate or university degree in chemistry, business chemistry, or a related field; PhD preferred.

Proven experience in product stewardship and regulatory compliance, ideally within the chemical or related industries.

Strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ecolabel, Conflict Minerals) and global standards.

Business acumen, with excellent analytical, planning, and strategic thinking skills.

Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams.

Positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Additional Information:
This role offers the flexibility to work from home, with regular travel to the company’s site in North Rhine-Westphalia.
