Project Manager/Senior Archaeologist

Our client is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Archaeologist to join their dynamic and growing team. This purpose-driven, employee-owned company is a leader in environmental consulting and cultural resource management.

About the Role
As a key member of the archaeological team, you’ll:

  • Lead cultural resource surveys (Class I, II, and III)
  • Prepare National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility recommendations
  • Conduct field audits, artifact analysis, and technical reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state preservation laws (Section 106, ARPA, NEPA)
  • Manage field crews and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Key Requirements

  • MS or MA in Anthropology or Archaeology
  • Meets Secretary of Interior’s Professional Standards for Archaeology
  • Experience working with federal agencies (e.g., BLM, USFS)
  • Familiarity with AZSITE and ASM registration procedures
  • Strong project management and technical writing skills
