Our cllient’s New York office is currently seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to perform roadway design and QA/QC tasks. Our client is a multidisciplinary consulting firm, offering a wide range of services in engineering, environmental, and planning sectors. With over 400 professionals, the company provides expertise in civil engineering, transportation, energy, land development, water resources, and more. Our client works closely with both public and private clients, delivering innovative solutions in urban, suburban, and rural environments, while emphasizing sustainability, creativity, and client collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering tasks related to roadway design projects and other transportation infrastructure projects.
- Design roadway geometry, pavement, drainage systems, and other associated structures.
- Perform roadway analyses, develop calculations, and prepare plans in accordance with federal, state, and local agency requirements.
- Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and special provisions for roadway design projects.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of calculations, specifications, and plans prepared by others.
- May perform site visits and field inspections as required.
- Manage and maintain project and QA/QC documentation.
- Assist project managers with tasks including schedule and budget updates, as well as proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in roadway design, with specific experience on NYSDOT projects.
- PE license required (New York State).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation. Experience with InRoads or OpenRoads is a plus.
- Familiarity with NYSDOT, FHWA, and AASHTO standards.
- Must have excellent technical, verbal, interpersonal, and meticulous written communication skills.

Salary Range: up to $160 000
