Our client, a dynamic and expanding organization, is seeking to add a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) specializing in structural engineering to their team. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing Special Inspection Agency that is gaining industry recognition.

This position will allow you to gain hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines and exposure to all facets of construction. Previous experience in Special Inspections is not required, our clients experienced inspectors will provide comprehensive training to ensure you develop expertise across numerous inspection areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural inspections on construction sites, including Welding, Bolting, Cold-Formed Steel, Concrete Cast-in-Place, Underpinning, Wall Panels, Curtain Walls, Veneers, Subsurface Inspections, and Structural Stability, ensuring that materials and installation methods meet project specifications and building code requirements.
  • Monitor ongoing construction activities by inspecting installations, documenting progress, and collaborating with both field and design teams to ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Manage and track non-compliant or incomplete items, and work closely with contractors, vendors, and consultants to verify completion.
  • Maintain organized and accessible project information by saving plans, documents, and updating field reports, tracking logs, code databases, and project lists.
  • Summarize required actions for sign-off in inspection reports and provide updates on project status.
  • Assist in pricing the structural portions of proposals for new projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Structural or Civil Engineering is required.
  • No prior construction or inspection experience is necessary; training will be provided.
