Job Title: Senior Data Scientist (Digital Twins & Graph-Based Approaches)
Location: Brussels, Belgium (50% on-site, 50% remote)

As part of their ongoing digital transformation, they are modernising their application landscape and migrating to the Cloud. They’ve developed a comprehensive knowledge graph, which acts as a “Digital Twin” of their application environment, helping them gain valuable insights and optimise our operations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in digital twins, graph theory, and graph-based approaches. This role focuses on leveraging advanced graph methods to extract meaningful insights from their knowledge graph, optimising our client’s application management lifecycle and supporting legacy system migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modernise the application lifecycle management and support Cloud migration efforts.
- Explore and apply advanced graph-based methodologies such as graph learning and graph mining to extract valuable insights from the knowledge graph.
- Optimise migration wave planning by using the insights gained from the digital twin of our application environment.
- Lead the technical direction of the project, ensuring the use of state-of-the-art technologies.
- Collaborate closely with team members to support the successful migration of legacy applications.
Key Use Cases:
- Extract operational insights to improve migration planning.
- Leverage the digital twin to facilitate the migration of legacy applications to new infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Senior-level expertise in data science, with a focus on graph-based approaches and digital twins.
- Experience with advanced graph methods: graph theory, graph learning, and graph mining.
- Proficiency in AI and Machine Learning tools such as R/RStudio, SAS, NLP, ASR, and graph learning.
- Expertise in Python, Spark, Ansible scripts, and SQL; knowledge of Scala, Kafka, and Flink is a plus.
- Experience with development and deployment tools like Conda, GitLab, Jupyter, PyCharm, Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with databases such as SQL and Neo4j.

Language Requirements:
- Fluent in Dutch or French.

Education & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering); PhD is an advantage.
- Candidates from other academic backgrounds with strong analytics skills are encouraged to apply.
