Technical Department Manager

In this role, you’ll be leading a technical department focused on ensuring operational reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across all technical installations and infrastructure. As the main point of contact for all technical matters, you’ll manage a team of engineers and workshop staff, driving maintenance excellence and supporting a high standard of health, safety, and environmental practices.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing the team of technical engineers and workshop personnel

  • Prioritizing and planning activities in coordination with the Maintenance Manager

  • Using and improving CMMS and BMS data systems

  • Leading initiatives with continuous improvement tools and methodologies

  • Ensuring efficient workplace organization (5S implementation)

  • Overseeing spare part management and maintenance of production equipment

What you bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or technical management

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a mechanical or technical setting

  • Functional knowledge of CMMS and ERP systems

  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English

  • Solid proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

  • A hands-on, proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with procurement processes is a plus
