Global Portfolio Lead – Insecticides

Location: Switzerland, close to Zurich (Remote or hybrid arrangements possible)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global strategies for active ingredients within the insecticides portfolio.
  • Manage all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation to phase-out.
  • Present product concepts and strategy recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Analyze market trends and internal performance data to drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to align strategy and execution at country level.
  • Support strategic collaborations through in-licensing and out-licensing initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate optimal product positioning to sales and marketing teams.
  • Act as the primary source of insight and direction for product strategy.
  • Facilitate product training and feature knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Contribute to regulatory risk mitigation by monitoring threats to key active ingredients.
  • Maintain awareness of segment trends, competition, and relevant regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in product management or portfolio roles within crop protection – essential.
  • Expertise in insecticides strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional, multicultural team environments.
  • Background in related functional areas (e.g., R&D, regulatory, marketing) – a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence across matrix structures and senior leadership.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Degree in Agronomy, Biology, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • MBA or similar business qualification – advantageous.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Additional Information:

This position is based in the North of Switzerland, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work models. Some international travel may be required. The role reports directly to the Global Sector Head for Insecticides and provides wide visibility across global functions and senior management.
