Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate physical, chemical, and analytical data for active substances and formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Summarize experimental data for authorization, assessing the quality and focus of experimental work to meet regulatory standards.
- Prepare dossiers for active substance and product applications in line with European and zonal evaluation processes.
- Draft scientific expert statements related to physico-chemical and analytical queries.
- Monitor GLP studies pertaining to physico-chemical and analytical aspects.
- Develop proposals for classification and labeling in accordance with GHS guidelines.
- Support clients in strategic decisions and the development of testing and evaluation strategies.
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, authorities, and within the scientific community.
- Assist the physico-chemistry and analytical expert team in maintaining and enhancing technical expertise and team competencies.
- Serve as a point of contact for other regulatory team members on physico-chemistry and analytical methods.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or a related discipline; a Ph.D. is advantageous.
- Solid experience in physico-chemical and analytical methodologies within the context of EU Regulation 1107/2009
- Strong scientific background in chemistry testing and regulatory chemistry.
- Proficiency in standard IT applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team-based environments, fostering constructive interactions across departments.
- Attention to detail and an accurate working style.
- Capability to work effectively under time constraints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to structure and simplify complex tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills in German, French, or Spanish are advantageous.
