Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager – Active Substance Strategy (Remote, Europe)

Work from anywhere in Europe | Full-time | Competitive salary + strong autonomy + real flexibility

About the Company

This mid-sized crop protection company might not be a household name, but in the agrochemical world, they’re turning heads. While many others in the industry have been treading water, they’ve been growing steadily across Europe over the past three years-defying broader market trends.

So, what’s behind their success?

A lean, agile structure. A massive product portfolio backed by a parent company with a strong innovation pipeline. And a just-in-time manufacturing model that keeps costs low and responsiveness high. They get the right products to the right place-fast, affordable, and high-quality. It’s a formula that’s earned them deep trust in the farming community.

They’re now looking for an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of active substance registrations and renewals-playing a key role in shaping regulatory strategy at the European level.

You’ll work independently but never in isolation. The wider regulatory team is around 30 strong across Europe, built on a matrix of experienced scientific and registration professionals you can lean on for expert input when needed. The company also partners closely with external CROs and consultancies, giving you a broad base of support for complex projects.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

  • Fully remote, long before remote was trendy. This isn’t a pandemic pivot-they’ve always operated remotely and have built a culture that genuinely supports engagement, collaboration, and long-term retention without the need for an office.
  • Your time, your rhythm. While there are key touchpoints each week, you’ll have the freedom to manage your day in the way that works best for you. Results matter more than clockwatching.
  • Autonomy with backup. You’ll be trusted to run your own show, but with a strong network of colleagues and experts behind you.

About You

You’ll likely have:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in regulatory affairs within the crop protection sector.
  • A solid track record of managing active substance registrations and renewals in Europe.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine appreciation for the freedom that comes with autonomy.
